  • Description

Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) is a globally recognised pre-university programme offered at Sunway College since 1987. The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA), which is an independent statutory authority that is responsible to the Western Australian Minister for Education, oversees the quality implementation of the AUSMAT programme.

SCSA conducts annual moderation exercises to validate the assessment standards applied at Sunway and ensure that our academic standards are consistent with Western Australian high schools. Upon successful completion of the AUSMAT programme, students are awarded the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) which is recognised for entry into renowned universities and institutions of higher learning worldwide.

The AUSMAT programme has a unique assessment structure of 50% school-based assessment and 50% external examination. With more than 100 subject combinations including sciences and humanities, AUSMAT provides students with the flexibility to explore diverse academic and career interests.

AUSMAT takes pride in the personalised and pastoral care for students such as:

Academic Advising programme: Individualised advice and guidance for each student.
