
The aim of this course is to introduce the concepts and technologies of computing, in particular software engineering, network and security, mobile computing, business analytics and cloud computing. The course will introduce skills and concepts related to the design, development, and deployment of computing applications. Concepts related to general computing such as database, system analysis and design, human computer interaction and programming will also be included.
The Cloud Computing and Virtualization specialisation prepares students to understand the emerging technologies of cloud computing and virtualization, their principles, modelling, analysis, design, deployment and industry-oriented applications. Major solution architectures and enabling technologies are covered.

A Level with minimum Grade D in any 2 subjects and a credit in following subjects at SPM level or its equivalent:
a) Additional Mathematics; or
b) Mathematics and one of the science subjects, technology or engineering
Pass UEC with 5 subjects at grade B including following subjects:
a) Additional Mathematics; or
b) Mathematics and one of the science subjects, technology or engineering
A pass in Matriculation or Foundation studies or its equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and a credit in following subjects at SPM level or its equivalent:
a) Additional Mathematics; or
b) Mathematics and one of the science subjects, technology or engineering.
Note: Student need to take 'pengukuhan matematik' subjects with topics relevant to Computer Science and Software Engineering at the beginning of their studies.
Requirement of 'pengukuhan Matematik' subjects can be exempted if Matriculation or Foundation or its equivalent offered Mathematics and the achievement is equivalent or higher than the requirement of credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level
STPM / its equivalent with minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in any 2 subjects and a credit in following subjects at SPM level or its equivalent:
a) Additional Mathematics; or
b) Mathematics and one of the science subjects, technology or engineering or STPM in science stream / equivalent with minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in Mathematics and 1 of Science subjects / ICT;
Other equivalent qualifications as recognised by the government of Malaysia
Any other Diploma in Science and Technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.50. Candidate with CGPA below 2.50 but above 2.00 may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment process;
