    Whether in good or bad times, accountants are always needed. Whether it is small firms or big conglomerates, accountants are always required. The demand for accountants is constantly high. Salaries of Certified Public Accountants or CPAs are much higher than other graduates.

    The BA (Hons) in Accounting offers students with many career pathways including becoming a chartered accountant, management accountant, financial and tax consultant, financial manager etc. Many qualified accountants move on to occupy top management posts including that of Presidents and CEOs of large companies.

    PROGRAM AIM
    The BA (Hons) in Accounting has been designed to meet the needs of people planning for a successful career in Accounting. This 3-year degree provides a sound foundation in accounting, auditing, taxation and finance, enabling graduates to become a qualified chartereds accountants, Graduates enjoy wide exemptions from CPA ( Australia ) and ACCA (UK).

    LEARNING OUTCOMES
    Upon completion of this programme, graduates will be able to:

    • Prepare financial statements in accordance with international accounting standards.
    • Provide financial and non-financial information to help organizations make informed decisions.
    • Use and evaluate information technologies and systems for the attainment of organizational objectives.
    • Prepare tax computation and advise tax advisory matters for individuals and business entities.
    • Apply the knowledge of audit in accordance with approved auditing standards.
    • Be innovative, think critically and suggest possible solutions to accounting issues.
    • Work collaboratively in a management team and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with different stakeholders.
    • Evaluate accounting issues consistent with professional ethics and social responsibility.
    • Demonstrate leadership qualities and entrepreneurial skills.

Entry Requirements

  • SPM/STPM
    Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level
  • A-level
    2 Passes at ‘A’ Levels and with a Credit Pass at ‘O’ Levels / GCSE
  • Matriculation/Foundation

    The Binary Foundation Degree in Arts or equivalent with CGPA of 2.0 and Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level or;
    Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) with minimum average of 60% or;
    South Australian Matriculation Certificate (SAM) with minimum of 60%

  • Other

    Ontario Secondary School Diploma with minimum average of 50% or;
    Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with minimum average of 50% or;
    International Baccalaureate with minimum 24 marks or;
    Victorian Certificate of Education with minimum average of 50% or;
    Any qualification that Binary University Accepts.
