Established in 1994, the Department of English Studies emphasizes English language learning and applications. Diploma in English provides our students with a wide range of courses and options in English-learning and English Literature. The design of these courses is founded on the two pillars of learning: system and skill frameworks. The "skills" framework enables our students to acquire competency in reading, writing, listening and speaking, while the "systems" framework (for example: the grammar of reading, the grammar of vocabulary, et cetera) is the bedrock upon which the various skills are built and applied.
