
The Department of Journalism and Communication un dergraduate programme prepares students for dynamic careers in many traditional and new fields-Diploma in Journalism will enhance journalistic creative and critical thinking skills, which are essential to progression in this vibrant profession. It will also prepare students for the challenges they will face in the twenty-first century, by helping develop the analytical skills necessary for reporting events in local context. In the past few years, there has been a significant growth in media communications, which has led to an increase in demand for journalists to work in different parts of the country, especially in southern region. Diploma in Journalism explores the role of the media in modern society and focuses on the skills required to do research in the discipline.
