Pharmacy is the study of the preparation, dispensing and review of drugs as well as the provision of additional clinical services. This program provides the basic knowledge that links health science with pharmaceutical science and aims to ensure the safety, efficacy, and affordable use of drugs.
In this program, you will learn the scientific basis of medicine. This includes understanding how the body and major organs work as a whole (anatomy and physiology), the science of dosage form design (pharmaceutics) and the body’s reaction to drugs (pharmacology).
The study of drugs also requires an understanding of how these drugs work on specific diseases, and alternative types of treatments that can be used in order to treat these diseases. As such, students will be exposed to the study of microbes as well as alternative medicine. To understand the chemical implications and background of the said drugs, students will also learn the basic chemistry and compositions of all medications.
The programme will provide you with an excellent understanding of drugs and their effects, and position you for the next stage of undergraduate programme.
Our course also emphasizes practical skills and experience at all stages, including retail and hospital training. The students will undergo a three-year programme in which the learning methods will include lecturing, tutorials, and practical applications.
