    The School of Technology Management or STM at Binary University is among the oldest IT schools in Malaysia. It is a pioneer in offering industry relevant programs and among the first to offer postgraduate degrees in IT and computer science. The MSc ITM which has an alumni spanning across the globe and its graduates are much sought after by employers because of the industry-specific skills they possess.

    PROGRAM AIM
    The aim of the MSc ITM is to produce hybrid IT managers who are proficient in both the technical aspects of Information Technology and the management aspects of a business enterprise. By producing technology-savvy business decision makers who understand how current and emerging technologies can best be applied to make their organizations more profitable, productive and competitive, Binary graduates are well-positioned to face the new challenges new of in the 21st century.

    LEARNING OUTCOMES
    Upon completion of the programme, graduates should be able to:

    • Apply and integrate knowledge concerning current research issues in computing and produce work that is at the forefront of developments in the domain of the information technology management;
    • Evaluate and analyse computing solutions in terms of their usability, efficiency and effectiveness;
    • Develop computing solutions and use necessary tools to analyse their performance;
    • Apply existing techniques of research and enquiry to acquire, interpret and extend, knowledge in computing;
    • Communicate and function effectively in a group;
    • Prepare, publish and present technical material to a diverse audience; and
    • Demonstrate behaviour that is consistent with codes of professional ethics and responsibility.

Entry Requirements

  • SPM/STPM
    Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level
  • A-Level
    2 Passes at ‘A’ Levels and with a Credit Pass at ‘O’ Levels / GCSE
  • Matriculation/Foundation

    The Binary Foundation Degree in Arts or equivalent with CGPA of 2.0 and Credit in Mathematics at SPM/O-Level or;
    Australian Matriculation (AUSMAT) with minimum average of 60% or;
    South Australian Matriculation Certificate (SAM) with minimum of 60%

  • Other

    Ontario Secondary School Diploma with minimum average of 50% or;
    Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with minimum average of 50% or;
    International Baccalaureate with minimum 24 marks or;
    Victorian Certificate of Education with minimum average of 50% or;
    Any qualification that Binary University Accepts.
