In line with the implementation of the country's economic transformation programme, The University College of Agroscience Malaysia (UCAM) offers academic programmes of higher education in agriculture and plantation for second generation small communities and rural areas.
With 15 years of experience in agricultural training programmes and plantations, UCAM now offers a platform for study programmes at the Certificate, Skills Certificate, Diploma and Bachelor's levels. In addition, UCAM also offers programs in accounting, entrepreneurship, Agri-business, landscape, livestock management, computer science and skills course/training.
The main campus of UCAM is located in Alor Gajah, Melaka and has an area of 150 acres which includes academic & administrative zones, plantations, residential colleges as well as sports and recreational areas. UCAM also has 4 branches namely RISDA Semporna, Sabah College, offering academic programmes, as well as the office of the east zone (Kelantan), office of the central zone (Pahang) and office of the northern zone (Perak) operates as a Centre for training in exercise programmes involved in skills certificates and short courses.
UCAM not only provides quality academic study programmes based on the needs of the industry, it also offers programmes accredited by the of the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). In addition to that, UCAM is recognised by the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system as well as achieving a 5-star rating by MyQUEST Auditor (Malaysian Quality Evaluation System for Private Colleges 2012/2013) by the Ministry of Education Malaysia in 2013. Since its inception, UCAM has produced a total of over 6000 graduates for the agriculture and farming sectors.
