    The BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying programme aims to empower you with academic and practical knowledge with relevant soft skills in Quantity Surveying, grooming you to respond to high demands for qualified and competent quantity surveyors in the local as well as international construction industry. As graduates of this programme, you’ll be empowered to: • demonstrate accurate techniques and skills of measurement, quantification, and cost estimation in construction projects • apply knowledge of economics, building constructions, maintenance, and services related to quantity surveying areas • understand and apply the relevant laws, procedures, procurements, and dispute resolutions when handling projects • demonstrate good knowledge and analytical skills, problem-solving, and communication with relevant soft skills • participate in project management, financial management, entrepreneurship, and current construction issues in the area of quantity surveying • practice professional and ethical responsibilities in quantity surveying, as well as conduct further research and development activities to retain a professional membership status in quantity surveying (Sr) or related disciplines. • demonstrate good knowledge in Building Information Modelling application. The Programme Educational Objectives (PEO) are to produce graduates who are able to: • respond to the high demands of qualified and competent Quantity Surveyor in the global construction industry • assist students to mature into dynamic individuals who strive to become Professional Registered Quantity Surveyors • develop research and critical thinking skills of students in pursuing life-long learning

Entry Requirements

  • SPM/STPM

    i. Pass Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) with Full passes or at least a Grade Gred C (GPA 2.00) in three (3) subjects including Mathematics

  • A-level

    ii. Pass A-Level with at least passesin three (3) subjects including Mathematics

  • UEC

    Pass Unified Examination Council (UEC) with at least Grade B in Five (5) subjects including Mathematics

  • Matriculation/Foundation

    i. Pass Canadian Pre-University/ Ontario Secondary School Diploma with at least 60 marks in three (3) subjects including Mathematics ; OR ii. Pass Malaysia Ministry of Education Matriculation programme with at least a CGPA: 2.50; OR iii. Pass Basic programme (Foundation) in related field from higher education reconginsed by Malaysian government with at least a CGPA 2.50; OR iv. Pass Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY) with at least 65% including Mathematics subject

  • Other

    i. Pass New South Wales Higher School Certificate with Band 3 in three (3) subjects including Mathematics; OR ii. Pass South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) with at least Grade C in three (3) subjects including Mathematics; OR; iii. Pass International Baccalaureate Diploma with at least 24 points; OR iv. Pass Diploma/ Advanced Diploma programme in related field from institutions recognised by the Malaysian government with at least CGPA 2.67 for year 2 entry and a CGPA: 2.00 for year one entry ; OR v. Equivalent qualification as recognised by the Malaysian Government.
