  • Description
    This 4-year program is designed to produce professionals in the field of horticulture and landscape. The curriculum of this program emphasizes scientific, technical and management methods in the field of horticulture. This will enable them to translate the knowledge learned to horticultural and landscape technologies for the benefit of humanity. Courses in this program include soil science, basic science, ornamentation, crop breeding, crop design, landscape construction work, economics and management and communication. The aspects of resource management, planning and evaluation of horticultural and landscape business are integral components of the program. In addition to on-campus learning, students are also exposed to real-life work situations through industry training at organizations in the relevant industry sector.

Entry Requirements

  • SPM/STPM

    Pass STPM or equivalent to earn at least a C grade (NGMP 2.0) in two (2) subjects; or

  • Matriculation/Foundation

    Pass the Matriculation / Foundation / Foundation from any IPTA / IPTS / Institution authorized to offer the Foundation program with a minimum CGPA of 2.00

  • Other

    Other qualifications recognized by the Government of Malaysia

    Diploma

    Pass a Diploma in related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00;

  • English Requirements
    English Competency – minimum Band 3 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or any equivalents Additional requirements; For overseas students, get a 550 score in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or a 5.0 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or equivalent. If students do not meet these criteria, HEPs must offer English Language Courses to ensure that the student's proficiency is sufficient to meet the program requirements.
