  • Description
    The Mechanical Engineering at SEGi University is a broad industrial-driven degree programme, which equips students with the fundamentals of engineering and the technical skills required. The programme is designed to produce graduates who are able to address both technological and societal challenges in the field of mechanical engineering. The integration of mathematics and engineering learning will allow students to develop advanced knowledge of physics and materials science to mechanical design and manufacturing processes. The Programme Educational Objectives (PEO) are to produce graduates who: • are employable in the global industry related to Mechanical Engineering discipline • are in management/leadership role in the area of engineering • pursue life-long learning via post graduate qualification and/or professional licensure

Entry Requirements


    i. Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with Principal passes in Mathematics and Physics;

  • A-level

    Pass A-Level with at least Full passes in Mathematcis and Physcis;

  • UEC

    Pass Unified Examination Council (UEC) with at least a Grade B in 5 subjects including Mathematics and Physics;

  • Matriculation/Foundation

    Pass SEGi Foundation programme (Foundation in Science) with CGPA 2.0 or Basic programme (Foundation) in related fields from institutions that are recognised by the Malaysian Government OR Pass Malaysia Ministry of Education Matriculation in related field with at least CGPA 2.00

  • Other

    i. Pass South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with TER 60%; or ii. Pass Canadian Pre-U (CPU) with at least 60% in Mathematics and Physics subjects; or iii. Pass Diploma progamme from institutions that are recognised by the Malaysian Government iv. Pass New South Wales Higher School Certificate with at least Band 3 in 2 subjects including Mathematics and Physics; or v. Pass South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) with at least a Grade C in 2 subjects including Mathematics and Physics; or vi. Pass Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with at least 60% in Mathematics and Physics; or vii. Pass International Baccalaureate Diploma with at least 24 points; or viii. Any qualification as recognised by the Malaysian Government.
