Description
Diploma in Agriculture Science brings forth trained human resource in agriculture to meet the demands and needs of the country’s agricultural sector. This program will expose students to hands-on training such as in food production, ICT, food sustainability, and management methods involved in agriculture and entrepreneurship. Students are also required to conduct and manage agricultural projects involving cultivation, harvesting and marketing throughout the duration of the study. The teaching methods used can help to develop students with knowledge and skills in the areas of critical thinking, communication, decision making and problem solving. Each offered course contains a different learning outcome which meets the needs of the current market. Students are also required to go for 16-week training at government or private agencies related to agriculture, livestock or nurseries during their final semester.

SPM/STPM

Pass SPM/SPVM with at least credit in three (3) subjects including Bahasa Melayu and one science subjects and pass Mathematics and English
O-Level/GCSE

Pass the O-Level with at least a Grade C in three (3) subjects
Other

Pass SKM Level 3 in the related field and
a) Pass the SPM with at least one credit in one (1) subject and
b) Through the strengthening program (if necessary)

Apply for Community College MQF Level 3 equivalent to a related field and
a) pass then SPM with at least one credit in one (1) subject; and
b) through the strengthening program (if necessary; Or

Pass Certificate (Level 3 MQF)in the relevant field with minimum CGPA of 2.0; or

Pass and STPM or equivalent to earn at least a Grade c (NGMP 2.0) in one (1) subject;
